Steele Street School Students Surprise us With 'Socktober'
After watching a video about how to inspire others, this grade 4/5 class from Steele Street School was inspired to give to others in-need.
The class, with teacher Joanne Barrick, collected socks for the month of October--or aptly coined--"Socktober" to donate to Port Cares to give to our clients in-need.
Our Executive Director, Christine Clark Lafleur and Supervisor of our Reach Out Centre, Amanda Upper were humbled to collect over 20lbs of socks from this group of thoughtful students.
Thank you to the class for thinking of us! We always love seeing young philanthropists in our community 🧦🧦🧦
